| The first thing you do is subscribe to and update a feed with media items in it. To do this, you can follow the simple instructions on the Getting Started page. After you've done that, come back here and continue reading. Media items are included in a feed through a mechanism called "Enclosures". For more information on general Enclosure support in FeederReader, please see the Enclosure Support page. If you do not set up FeederReader to download enclosures automatically, you can download enclosures manually by choosing Update | Enclosures on the Feed's Tap-and-Hold menu. To see the Details Status Box, tap the green Status Bar near the bottom of the screen, just above the Main Toolbar. This screen shows that there are two enclosures being downloaded at the same time. One is 100% downloaded (which will quickly disappear to make room for more downloads). The other is 71% downloaded and has already downloaded 33,840 bytes out of 47,028. This screen also shows you where it is downloading from and the local file name (150_5_3.JPG). This screen shows both the Feed/Message List (at the top) and the Feed View (at the bottom). The green Status Bar shows that there are 8 more enclosures left to download. This screen shows the List in Full Screen List Mode. There's 6 more enclosures left to download. This screen shows you looking at a particular message with both the List and the View visible. There's 5 more enclosures left to download. This screen shows you looking at a message in Full Screen View mode. There's 3 more enclosures left to download. This shows you two downloads in progress. You can set FeederReader up to download more at a time on the Tools | Options... | Enclosure Tab page. This screen shows you in Full Screen View mode with an enclosure that is partially downloaded. There's still one download left, but you don't have to wait for all the downloads to finish. Start playing any enclosure that has completed downloading. And the Payoff! The bottom two screens show the enclosure playing in BetaPlayer automatically when you press "Play" on the Enclosure Toolbar. And the screen in the lower corner shows BetaPlayer in Full Screen mode. |
